Hit the water at about 6am all in all caught about 15 fish mostly largemouths 1 decent smallmouth.  Things kind of petered out around noon.  Used nothing but a gold/black/red rattlin rapala.  Little bit of rain but the water was warm.  I got to test out the new WP/SP digital camera and all in all it was a good day.

Nice!  Thanks for the report and pics.  I went out to Hagg on Saturday and only had one bass on (I got there late...sleep got the better of me) and he broke me off when he saw the kayak.   ??? Bad knot I think...lesson learned.

Where were you fishing at?  I was on the lake from 6am until about 2pm.  Only yaks I saw were me and a buddy.  Insayn drove by or atleast I'm pretty sure it was him, white truck loaded with a few yaks.

Hmmm?  Wasn't me.  I was there on Thurs with The Nothing, and again on Friday with the wife and kids.
Day was really nice on both days.

I had to work Saturday night and never left the house all day.  Wonder who else has a similar rig?

Regardless, I may be back out there again this week Thurs, Fri, or Sat (but not all 3) trying for some bass/crappie/perch.
Who wants to join?   Once I have a day locked in, I'll start a seperate thread so it's easier to find.  ;)

I'm perrrty darn sure it wasn't my rig.  The wife was at a softball BBQ all day, I was home all day, and in bed at 1:30pm crash napp'n before work.
The truck was in the driveway (with the yaks on the rack).

I carry both my kayaks on the rack, and not in the bed anymore.  That's why I built the rack.  ;D

Not sure if my fish ID is perfect here but I think you got three types of fish. You've got a smallie and a spotted bass and I think you might have a black bass as well. (Hard to tell w/ the mouth open and back fin tucked down) Either way, multi species days rock!! Nice work.

I see 6 LMB and 1 SMB.  Regarless, looks like a really nice day of fishing!

Way to hammer 'em 24!!!

Ya I'm pretty sure they were Largemouth but now that you mention it some look like spotted.  Next time I'll have to pay closer attention didn't even realize hagg had spotted bass in it.  I was more concerned about catching the 3+ pound keeper ;-)

I never noticed the differences w/ the bass until someone pointed out I'd caught a spotted bass once. I'm pretty new to ID'n them but seems that the markings on them are pretty varied. I thought it was interesting so looked it up. Here's a pic w/ the species and different characteristics. BTW the spotted and largemouth look like the same problem as blue and black rockfish. :-[
