Heading down to spend a couple of days in Los Cabos. Got the rod, got the flies, got the skills - hopefully, in a few days, I'll have the pics.

It's supposed to be in the upper 90's all week!

True,

I just noticed this post.  Did you post a report on another thread?  If not, how was it?  Pictures?  I'll be heading down in September.

I only got out a couple of mornings and was only able to get a single Pargo to come in. I had a few followers and a couple of bumps. I didn't take my kayak as it wouldn't fit in the overhead compartment so I was on the beach. I didn't get any pictures as I was the only one out there. The weather was warm but the locals said the water was cold for the time of the year.

I envy you being able to get out in September. I'm hoping to get to Puerto Penasco in March. I took a 9 ft. 9 wt. which was all I could manage to take on short notice. Next time I'm taking my kayak, a 9wt. and an 11 wt.

There was a lot of good beach access. I was hoping to get out on the road toward Punta Arenas from San Jose del Cabo but there wasn't enough time in the trip and I was with family. Next time hopefully!

Thanks.  Should be fishy in September.  Downside is its peak storm season.  We shall see.  One of our crew is bringing some 12 wt fly gear.  Our boat will have a couple of kayaks so I'm hoping to hop in one if we come up on a bait ball, hook up and get towed around by a huge tuna or marlin.

Nice! I'm hoping to get back there in March. This time WITH my kayak. I'll be in the upper Sea of Cortez around Puerto Penasco.
