I'm going to be down at Sunset Bay this coming weekend, and since I've never fished there I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what I should be using as far as lures, bait, etc.
Also whats around there as far as freshwater fishing goes.

Thanks

Hey Keusch, I'll PM you my number call me when you get in town I'll go out with ya and show you some spots and the gear i use. Forecast looks good  at this point. Any type of curly tail jig will work well. I like root beer, motor oil and white in the 6 or 4 inch variety the best. Bait works too, squid or sand shrimp, especially for the greenling.

Just a bit north, you got Eel and Ten mile lakes for Trout and Bass fishing
See ya on the water..

Sunday morning is looking REALLY good. I think I am going to head out after work. I should be there at about 9:30 am. Its been so long since the last time I went out I think my sea legs fell off.  :embarassed:
Enjoy the ride!

Roy is that crab pot buoy still floating around in the channel? If it is I might brave a rescue attempt AFTER the fishing is done.
Enjoy the ride!

Hey Keusch, was that you putting in to Sunset at about noon on Sunday? I was a little foggy headed from working graveyard all night then going straight out into the ocean, so I did not realize who you were until after I got a few miles down the road. Did you have any luck?
Enjoy the ride!

I spent the first hour trying to catch flounder with no luck. When I switched over I managed 1 ling and 1 black. Over all the fishing was slow, but it was nice just to get on the water again.
Enjoy the ride!
