Anyone doing any fishing this weekend?  Had hoped to get some ocean fishing in, after my surf practice last weekend.  Not sure the conditions are going to cooperate for that, but is anyone doing any fishing in OR?

Looking to get out on Sunday myself, haven't decided where though, if anyone is looking for someone to go with I'm down.

Thinking about targeting some walleyes on the multnumah channel, that could be a sweet score on AOTY since bsteves made walleye "panfish" this year  >:D

Let me know,

Sean

I might try my luck on the Tualatin Saturday morning around 9 for a few.

Sunday - I'd have to be an afternooner. I'm helping with the kiddies in church in the morning.

My only chance will be Sunday late afternoon and early evening at Hagg Lake. This will likely be as much swimming as fishing...

Hagg exists only for serious wake shredding by licensed members of the Church of Brohovah's Witness, but you dudes are welcome to stop by and help oil the pythons.

Haven't had much luck myself at hagg this summer...  It would be a good place to practice my self rescues with all my gear, and practise putting on a sprayskirt while out in the water.... Hmm, but then again I really want to catch some walleye! Decisions, decisions....

No, dude, not "eh."  More like, "Whoa, Andyjade totally just launched a 540 cutback off of my kayak bow!"

This is what you will see when you close your eyes after your Hagg trip.  It's me, bro:

Even the buff, bronzed, and bitchin' have feelings, Broseph.  And you hurt them.  You can have your Hagg lake, dude; everyone knows that the man-magma-encrusted center of the wakeboard universe is somewhere near rivermile 38 of the Tualatin River, anyway.

I guess the only ramps I know of are the 99w ramp, Cook Park and Tualatin Park...

I'm going to likely hit either the Tualatin or the Mollala for bass on Sunday afternoon.  If you see a guy and a dog in an orange OK Big Game, say hi.  Was thinking of launching from the Cook or Jurgen's Park area, then going upstream if I do the Tualatin.

FYI, in addition to being a great local conservation group, Tualatin River Keeper has some good paddling info on their web site.  Check out this map of the river:

Also good updates on paddling conditions here:

In all seriousness, there are some great spots farther upriver.  Water level becomes important, though.  It can be checked here:

http://www.goeslink.com/ordistrict18/default.aspx

Anything lower than 4 feet or so (at Rood Bridge) can make paddling tricky.  Lots of debris in the water, and, if you're not familiar with the area, the capsize risks are real and abundant.  When said gauge is at 6.5 feet of higher, you can access rivermiles 39 and above.

Looks like it's a 3 feet or so now, but ya'all should be able to get around without too much trouble.  Just watch out for partially submerged logs...
