Hello
Went crabbing for the first time from my kayak in the bay, I did not use a box trap as in the video on the home page.  Instead, I used a crab ring, and this how it worked:

•   toss ring over on stbd side, and then hover over ring for 10 to 15 minutes against the incoming current.
•   Next pull up ring, and at the same time drop anchor over on port side, so it does not get caught in ring.
•   Place ring over bow of boat, and then place keepers in a large laundry mess bag and throw over the little one’s.  Paying close attention not to drop any inside kayak (I have a sit-in).

I limited out in 1 ½ hours-used chicken with crab jelly.  Also caught a 14” rainbow trout out of the Newport Reservoir-plus saw 3 deer swim across the reservoir about 50 yards away from my kayak-pretty cool.

Hour and a half isn't bad.  Glad to hear it's been picking up and that you got a few.  How full was the meat in the legs?
