I have a Berkley casting rod in which the first eye has been knocked slightly askew and the varnish on the wrapping has cracked.  The rod is still quite usable.  My inclination is to leave it alone or pull the guide back into alignment and coat the wrapping with nail polish.  Got a better suggestion?

Your plan should be just fine.  Doesn't have to be pretty.  Clear nail polish is as good as anything for a quick and dirty guide repair.

Thanks, again.  I just used what TLW had laying around, opalescent pink.  I like it.  maybe I'll do the rest of the guides  :)
