My buddy and I hit the Columbia at The Dalles today.  Wind at about 20mph and 75 degrees.  Found a few shad in the eddies and hooked up with nice fish.  It was a great day- we fought two fish and called it.  A drift sock was key today, and so was shad.  The fish in the pic took me for quite a ride...

Thanks, I got a real kick after setting the hook, because I had to scramble for the quick release on the anchor rig.  I was getting a nice tow downstream...then back up.  The hole we anchored above is about 25 feet deep at a rock narrow, and then levels out to 15 feet deep downstream.  This was about 10 min of pure fun.  I had the fish up to the boat and it turned over no problem.  The hook slid out easy, I turned it over and whoosh! I almost got a face stamping.
