After checking out a link posted the other day in one of the recent Depoe Bay threads it seems like the channel is like navigating Skull Island...  what's the story here from a yak perspective?  It doesn't seem that bad too me from the chart, but my salt experience is limited to fishing Puget Sound.

Here's the two charts combined. It's too bad we can't fish between the channel and the bell. Looks like a nice dropoff about 2/3s of the way out.
