Gonna be hitting up Elliot Bay (launching just south of the Don Armeni ramp) on Saturday AM looking for some blackmouth. Anyone who wants to fish, come on down.

The Tengu Blackmouth Deby starts Sunday in Elliot bay.  Mooching only.

It would be great to see a kayaker win it!

What time in the AM?  I didn't buy a saltwater license this year, but I would love to tag along and learn some things for next year.

Actually, I think I'll purchase a license.

I finished work early and it's back on. If anyone's interested I'll see you there. Launching about 8:30.

Trolled the downrigger for six hours for eight shakers. Not exactly what I was looking for but at lest I was kept busy. I changed up lures, flashers, leader lengths etc. But just couldn't get the big blackmouth to play. Only two other fishermen out on the water and they weren't seeing any action. It was a beautiful bluebird morning so can't complain.

Any chance you'll be heading out again this weekend?  (31st or 1st?)

Not too sure yet. I'd like to get after some early chum but will have to see how the rivers are doing.

Hi,

I am thinking of getting out to try for some salty fresh Chums this weekend if I can escape the family.  Any suggestions of areas to try around Seattle?  I am 5 min away from Golden Gardens so I was thinking of Meadow Point but I am not sure is this is a good Chum holding area.  Maybe Elliot Bay might be a better possibility as the wind is supposed to be up a bit comming from the South so it might be more protected.  Is the public boat ramp the best place to put in or are there some better options?

Thomas

I think Ebay from Salty's to the coast guard pier is your best bet for a local chum. Best launch spot there is the cobbled beach south of the Seacrest pier.
