7 pm on a weekday (Thursday) sounds great, I can probably even escape my domestic duties once a month for it.

How about Thursday November 5th or 12th? I think we're more likely to come up with a good date before the holiday madness starts.

In case you haven't noticed I moved us over the Oregon board given the Portland area focus.

Sounds good. I like the the idea of a discussion of sturgeon.
My vote goes for Thursday 7pm.

works for me.  I fondly remember "thristy thursdays" in college ::)

On another note, people fish for sturgeon in winter not necessarly because fishing is better than any other time of year.  Most folks fish becasue it is all that is left  to fish for. Most of the fisheries: warmwater, trout, salmon, ocean etc are done or not accessible, and if you don't have the right "craft" to pursue steelhead in the tribs then all you have left is sturgeon.   That said at least it is something to fish for ;D

Heres hoping for a couple of flat days on the ocean!

Thursday Nov 12th at 7 pm at Pietro's Pizza in Milwaukie it is!

There are plenty of brew pubs that offer "tightwad tuesdays" and "thristy thrusdays" that we can explore in later meet ups.

I was thinking it would be cool to have a little get together once a month. Any other thoughts? Just throwing it out there... :)

I smell Pub Night.

i have fond memories of a pub night in a little town on the north bank of the columbia last year at our spring Drano Lake event.. can't recall the name of the town, or the pub, but it was great sharing a meal and a table with guys who had plenty to share..[ anyone even do Drano this year?]

damn, now ya gots me thinking of one for folks in the south sound/central region...
