For those who are new to the forum:

We like to have monthly meet-ups during the crummy-weather months since many of us do not get out on the water as much as we would like.  Since we're not on the water we can at least talk about kayak fishing stuff and these meet-ups provide us with an opportunity to engage in said talking without getting the inevitable glazed-over or deer-in-the-headlights looks from the less fortunate people in our lives who don't enjoy the magical madness that is kayak fishing.  These meet-ups are a great way to pick the brains of the veterans of the community.  I know that I am much more likely to provide more detailed info to someone face-to-face over a beer than I would over the interwebs and I'm sure that the same goes for many other guys that know more than just a thing or two about kayak fishing this area.  I and others have also brought in different rigs for fishing certain areas when people have asked.  So don't be shy, everyone's welcome!  Come hang out and chat.  It's a great way to put names to faces.

And bring the biggest touch screen tablet device you own loaded with Navionics or similar charts, because if you buy lots of beers for the right people you can ascertain some sweet holes and save yourselves many days of beating dead water. DAMHIK

How late does it usually go? I have an event earlier that night but would like to attend if possible.

They usually last at least a couple of hours.

Bump. Do we need to call ahead and give these guys a heads up? I should be there around 700.

It seemed like every time we went there there was always lots of room so I don't think we need to.  Watch, the one time we needed to call ahead is the time I said we didn't need to.
