PDX Crew Monthly Meet Ups

This thing with our NCKA brother Mooch has got me sick, he is a good dude, and a HOW volunteer even during his treatments.

So here's what's going to happen. I'm going to bring a donation jar to the meet up Tuesday at Next Adventure for Mooch and I'm going to put $100 in it. I'm calling on all you that plan on attending this event to match, beat, or give what you can. His family has outstanding medical bills and there's going to be funeral expenses.

I'll collect the donations, get a money order and send it down to HOW coordinator Don Anglin who will know where to forward the funds we have pulled together for Mooch. I talked with Don today and he was really shocked. He said he saw Mooch about a week and a half ago and he was having some difficulty walking, but was driving himself, so his condition must have really taken a sudden turn for the worse.

The final turn often doesn't take much time.

Mooch did a ton for many a yak angler and it would be an honor to be able to help his family with some bills. Great idea, Anthony.

What was the total take?

A huge thank you to everybody at the PDX meet-up last night for your amazing generosity. We collected over $400 for Joel!

I have the money order ready to go into the mailbox. I'm just awaiting word on whose name should go on the M.O. I don't want to put Mooch's name on there if nobody has power of attorney. Frank (the guy who posted up about his entering hospice) is supposed to get back to me shortly.

Kevin "YakBasser" will be talking about bass fishing in the Portland area. 

Expect a bit of a presentation followed by some Q&A discussion.   Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we'll have an on the water bass fishing gathering the following weekend.
