I'm hoping to learn some new tricks too.  Currently I just troll these in 10-15 ft of water near structure.  Not a lot of finesse involved, but it works.

I kind of suck at bass fishing.

Geez, and you taught me - explains my problems!

Come on now.  I showed you my most productive tactic for warm water species.

That must have been the part when I wasn't paying attention - apparently my son was!  I'll do better tonight...  :)

Are we still planning on meeting at Sellwood Riverfront Park Saturday Morning for some bass fishing???

I plan on being there bright and early.  Remember it is free fishing weekend so if you have a friend who is interested in kayak fishing don't forget to bring them along.

Regarding Saturday's bass fishing gathering...

My plan for tomorrow is to meet up in the Sellwood area early enough to try and get a bit of the morning bite before I have to help out with the Ocean Kayak booth at the Next Adventure Demo Day at 10 am.    Those that want to check out the paddle demo are welcome to do so (it's free) and I think it would really us promote kayak fishing and NWKA if we had a bunch of rigged kayaks show up on the beach at some point.  But the paddle demo runs well into the afternoon so everyone should feel free to fish as long as they want.

I'll probably launch from the Sellwood Waterfront Park where the demo is being held, but for those of you on the west side, the Willamette Park Boat ramp might be a better option.  From there we'll probably explore and fish the area around Ross Island.

Does anyone know if the "free fishing weekend" applies to non-residents ? If it does I should probably bring my Outback and a few poles--eh ?

Yes it does.  Bring your gear. We will see you down here.

I'll look you up Craig---I rough carved you a "new Bonker". It kinda looks like an Olympus camera. See ya tomorrow.

I'll probably be there around 6:30AM I live about 3 minutes away , so Ill see you guys there!! Looking forward to it. Water temps are hovering around 58 degrees , turbitidy is pretty high, the river level is up a few feet from the begining of the month.  Air temps will be in the low 50's early in the AM warming to the mid 60's by lunch time, the sun will be out so all in all it looks to be a pretty fantastic day of fishing.  See you out on the water!!

I'll be putting in at Williamette Park, arriving at the launch as close to daybreak as I can manage, ~5:30a.  Bernie, thanks for the fishing conditions update. See you all on the water! Let's go catch some smallies!

Man.... I really wanna go fishing tomorrow... see y'all when you get in. I would recommend/request as many folks use Willamette as possible as parking at Sellwood is going to be rough with the event

Feels like that time of year again!  How about the second  Wednesday or Thursday of December?  Any ideas for locations?  I like the Lucky Lab pubs in SE or SW.
