I have the 580c and been using it for about 2 years. All around I like it a lot. The screen size and resolution are great and like how it functions. I especially like the SD port.

I put the 383c (color and combo GPS) on the Revo a couple of months back and really like it. Need to take the time to learn the GPS side.
Very easy to read at a fair distance.  Conehead and I were out a while back and he said he could read the screen from his yak.
Coanhead how far away were you when viewing it?

Do you use Navionics charts in your GPS?

Nope. It's something I was saving for until I got an iPhone and found they make Navionics charts for it for only $10.

Well that's $10/month.
I don't think you get the map of the bottom of Puget Sound on it.
I wonder if anybody has that.

I have a Humminbird which accept Navionics chips, and have been seriously considering getting the US West & Alaska (12XG-2) chip.  Are the data as detailed as the lake data or are the data simply sourced from the NOAA and presented differently than the NOAA Charts?

Halfway to Romula! Mass quantities of distance separated our craft! :occasion18:   Using the earthlings' English system, about 10 feet.

it gives a detailed bathymetry map of the entire puget sound along with waypoints tides etc.. And it is not a per month fee. You should do some research before posting 525.
