Just joined.  Some of you might find this amusing:
The river that I fish usually doesn't have much traffic but during Memorial Day, about twenty different craft came thru while I was fishing below a nice chute. One raft had four guys in it and as it got about twenty feet away from me, the dude in the bow noticed a bull snake swimming across the river. With a paddle he flipped it at me, probably thinking that I'd mistake it for a rattler. It crawled on to the rock next to me to warm up. The guy manning the oars managed to hang the raft on a rock about fifteen feet downstream of me so to hasten their journey, I said, "Back atcha." and pitched the snake into the raft. Two guys went overboard, one of them shrieking like a little girl. The oarsman flailed air for a half dozen strokes before he finally grabbed water. The bowman started to say something until the oarsman said, "Shut up Carl; you started it."

Hah!  Made me chuckle.  Not only did he get it right back at him, but he had his buddy put him in his place as well.  Gotta love it.

BTW, welcome!  We're do you hail from?

Bull snakes and rattlers? Sounds like an east side river.
