So Santa brought Mrs Cobrakak76 a new sewing machine this year!!  Being the thoughtfull, loving husband I am, I decided to bring the sweat shop up to speed on my latest invention

I'm gearing these towards the OK's since the hatch and sonar shield (maybe rod pod?)lend themselves better to an easy design.

These an be made in all kinds of patterns colors etc.  they stretch snugly over the lids and can be washed over and over like old shirts ..

BACK OFF Squidgirl....I thought of it first!! :P

Ok.  As I wrote this I thought of something I'll add to these...Mesh backing underneath the lid for extra storage...some heavy duty velcro maybe ???

more prototypes comming soon..

Cool bean bro!

Are these Neoprene?

Do these help with the seal at all?

The one shown is a heavy duty polyester.  I can imagine a 2 mil neopreme strip being sewn on the inside around the hatch to help seal things up a bit more...Great suggestion!  Thank you!
You'll just earned a 0.25 check a week for life when I sell this to Johnson outdoors

Maybe add a velcro'd pocket on top to stow your bow line when not needed.  ;D

Pretty neat. But OK only? :'(
The fabric store is up in my hood. I hadn't noticed any neoprene there but they have a ton of jacket like materials. www.seattlefabrics.com And then let's fish!

Thanks for the link! might take a trip down there.  I'm  looking into 5 ml neoprene weatherstriping with the super sticky backing for the edges .  It comes in a 2" X 10" roll for like $18 and its hurricane proof.  Working on a design for a pouch on the underside of the front hatch and the outside of the sonar shield cover.    I'm also thinking about something for the rod-pod with a formfitting insert for the cup holder.

I know this idea is 90% for fashion and 10% for function.  I'm just at that point where instead of spending $$ every few weeks to change up my yak a bit, I'll just change its clothes.   I'll do the camo for a few weeks...then maybe switch it out with a bright Aloha pattern or racing strip a few weeks later.
