Honsestly, I'm just happy I can do it. I would expect to pay the same fees as other guides, just not more.

It's $410 because I'm out of state, but WA resident is very reasonable..like $160 or something for the non-salmon charter license.

The other thing is I was starting to lose my enthusiasm for this battle. I'm ok with the way it is, even though I'll have huge reg. stickers all over my yak.

My boss was losing his enthusiasm, and I just needed a quick victory without getting bogged down in more details and lose his support, and then my whole effort would be waisted.

Huge reg stickers look really good to certain clientelle.  The rest of your clients will ignore them or not care anyway.

I've got stickers all over my boat. That way people know that without gas, grass, or ass, they get no free ride.

I think it will be kinda cool, I just don't want to mess up the resale value by putting some gunky adhesive on the gell coat that potentialy will leave a mark/sun fade/etc.

whatever really. I'm ok with that being the major issue. just happy to be able to do it.

nice dude. I'll have to add a few bumper stickers ha ha. I did offer up add space to business on my yak to finance my AK 2010 trip, so really I'll have crap all over that boat anyway, not to mention fish guts & slime.

I want one that says: Powered by PB&J

Or "Powered by Scotch and Kenny Chesney."  Which brings up a great question.  Can clients bring flasks?  Which brings up another thought.  Get me a beer will ya Spot?
...as soon as the Advil kicks in...

Probably not the best idea while on the water, but otherwise I encourage it. I usually bring a 6 pack o beer in cans. I like to have a beer when I get off the water.

I wont be doing allot of partying, but it's your vacation man, do what you will!

So the word is kayak are exempt from all the registration...so no 10" reg stickers needed.

They're going to spin when they get my application.....vessel name: kayak, horsepower: n/a, fuel type: diesel/gas-n/a, length: 18ft, beam: 21.5"....everything but the dimensions I put N/A

Congratulations Nanook! And thanks for busting a trail thru their attempted snowjob!  Anyone else who wants to do similar guiding in WA owes you a debt of gratitude.
