Thanks Zee,

That will give something to cry about as I change diapers.

Don't try and get sympathy from me. I'm just getting out from under these diapers and fishing again.  ;) For real though, all this means is if you can get any time away the odds for some steel is looking good. The cup is half full B. ;)

He's trying to channel some of the old timers and their 80+ lb chinook.

I have been putting quite a few fish in the box this year (PB, Clack), catch rate for me is up for this time of year compared to the last couple years.  Last year my boat (more than just me fishing mind you ;D) had 10 steelhead to the net for the month of January (nates and hatch combined) and this year the boat total is past that and its only the 12th. Here's hoping this is the start of a great year!  Only downside is I have yet to see any with some size to them, lots of 5-8lb'ers, and about 60% hatchery,  guess there's worse problems to have ;D

Sounds great PP. Lot's of hookups even in that size range sounds awesome. WA side it's pretty much the opposite. Very few fish so far all around. Even the steady producers are having a hard time putting out decent numbers. Here's to hoping there's gonna be a big rush any second now...  :-X
