Anything related to fishing. We have a brand new Columbia River and Trib salmon/steelhead endorsement that is supposed to fund those Columbia R wild fish recovery efforts that you now have to buy if you want to fish for salmon/steel in the Big C or any of its tribs.
I didn't buy it. It was an extra $8 or so. I'll wait until I know if I'm going fishing there for steel or salmon, and then get it. There's a very small chance that i won't fish those waters for those species this year, so I don't want to waste any good beer money. That's the equivalent of a sixer of Deschutes Black Butte!

Did anyone successfully get the website to work through to completion?  For me in Firefox 3.6 and IE 7 I get through the profile and can choose my purchase items, but clicking on "Continue" does nothing.  I can't get beyond the purchase page.

demonick...

I had the exact same problem with Firefox when I tried to buy mine Thursday.  Next time I went via IE and it worked.  But there was some checkbox that I did not notice the first time (somewhere above the continue button).  After I check it the 'continue' button worked.  Don't ask me what the checkbox was cause I don't remember  :-[

I never found another checkbox, but after fussing and farting about, eventually one of the many page reloads I tried worked.  Thanks.

Did anyone waste their money on the 2-rod license?  I just looked at the list of excluded lakes and I can't see a reason to buy one after reading it.  There's only a few lakes I go to that aren't on here  :-\

I bought it, because on the odd chance that I fish a lake that allows two poles, I want to add even more confusion to the looks on the faces of the PBrs.   ;D

still not clear to me is whether or not the salmon charters will have to pay for the 2nd, and 3rd, and 4th rod per boat like we do.

i still think this is a dumb rule/way to make money... >:(  why can't we fund WDFW programs by with holding and transferring the wasted  over time wages the state legislature supposedly got paid when they failed to balance the budget, but turned around and removed a tax protection so they could raise taxes???   licenses might almost be free  :o

I went ahead and did it.  I'm hoping to be able to make a long trip into eastern WA this summer, after I finish this quarter at school, and two poles for walleye or big trout is worth every penny to me.  There are lots of lakes around in my area that I can use it for as well.  I'm also likely going to be making use of the second pole for panfish.  I'll toss a maribou jig or similar under a balsa float and use the other pole to fish a more active presentation for larger species.  When on the troll, well, gotta love having 2 lures out for determining the format of the day.

and only for the sake of clarification, from http://wdfw.wa.gov/licensing/twopole/

Quote
The two pole endorsement option applies to the majority of the 8,000 fishing lakes, ponds and reservoirs in Washington State.

and

Quote
In general, two-pole fishing is not allowed in saltwater, or in rivers, streams and beaver ponds. However, WDFW is evaluating areas and times when surplus fish may be available for harvest and the two-pole option could be allowed.

WR, it's not extra pole per boat, it's extra pole per fisherman.
