Fishing France?

Some strange wind has blown me into south central France for the next week or so
 There's a few nice rivers in the area and there are some kayak rentals sooo,,,,,
Anybody BTDT in French? Any suggestions? If not, I'll just end up posting another report about how nice the paddle was, but I could not find the fish.

I've been rock climbing in France, but never fished. 

The beaches are more fun
