I didn't want to mount my rod holder directly into the plastic side of my yak so I was excited to find I could mount my scotty fly rod holder to the rounded bar that spans the front section of my Native 14.5 solo kayak. You merely buy the 8.99 bottom rail piece and screw it onto the rod holder with the rounded bar sandwiched in the middle and viola you are ready to troll..well not so fast, the bar spins and you are screwed...unless you buy a  longish tension pin (available in most hardware stores) drill through the yak plastic then completely thru the round bar, gently hammer the pin in to the hole this created leaving just a little head sticking out of the yak and now that sucka won't pivot on ya and you are ready to troll...

FGD, I notice the pontoons, how do you like using them. What kind of water have you been on with them?  Sure like the stand up idea for FF.

Do you have a larger photo than your avatar?  I am mounting a bar on a Revo and I don't think I have ever seen the Scotty mount you referenced.
