Alaskan Beer caps (Amber, IPA, etc.) make great lures.   String 3 together with split rings with a hook on the end.  DAMHIK!!

Exactly!  I figure if Howard can do it, so can I.   ;D

Except you have to use Oregon beer caps.

You know what they say about quitters Creeper?  Quitters.......quit.

Wise words for sure!  :D

It's not really what I want though, I'd just rather not deal with the inevitable discomfort of my tour client in those conditions.  ;)

BTW, here's something for ya'll to chew on...

Hmm, according to MagicSeaweed the latest conditions at Pacific City are
6.5 ft WNW swell at 9 sec with 13 mph winds

but the beach cam shot doesn't look bad at all.  I wish there was someone out there surfing for scale.

They jest moved the camera to the boat launch area...

Wind and swell both from NW.

Magic seaweed forecast is looking better.  The forcasted winds are dropping.  Might be a green light to make the drive over. :icon_thumleft:

Looks like the tides might be good for a Mouth of the Salmon River river shot.   Thanks to NANOOK for confirmation that such a trip is livable.  Is there good fishing to be had there?   I might be able to get tomorrow off. ;D

not really better there than places with better access and less dynamic conditions.  Adding tidal exchange and river mouth currents into the mix when you don't have to (by fishing other locations) is just something extra to keep track of and not worth the hassle IMO. In that area I would stick to PC unless you get tired of it and need a change of scenery, cakewalk launch and great structure just offshore.  Only 15 min north of Salmon River .

Things are looking starting to look better for Friday. I had started to change my Friday plan to a turkey hunting trip, but now may cast instead of blast. This forecast keeps changing, so I'm going to wait and see what the prediction indicates this evening.
