I take plenty of water and an MRE.  I may not eat everything at once, but eat one or two items out of it.  Plus the MRE is watertight and floats.  Other than that it's cliff bars.

Out fishing the salt its peanut butter and honey sandwiches.  Lots of fuel in a compact, easy to make, temp stable package. Its easy on the stomach for the lumpy days and If I don't eat it, I can toss it to the seagulls and I'm not out much.

There's your problem catching many fish out there, you had banana's on board.   ;D

In the salt I take light scooby snacks like gummy fruit, maybe a peanut butter based candy bar.
In the lake, I take a big ol' sammich, chips, almonds, and sun flower seeds.  Usually end up eating the sammich on the way home.  :-\

Always water, and to eat I'll usually take some dried mangoes or beef jerky. I like that those items come in resealable bags. I used to take sunflower seeds out with me but they always end up wet after a while.

Water and protien bars.  Beef jerky on occasion.  (definitely jerky if I was able to hit Stewarts before the trip)

Water, dried fruit and nuts.  I too have occasionally taken peanut butter & honey sandwiches on toast.  The warm toast sucks up the honey and the sandwich becomes a crunchy, honey, peanut buttery candy bar - mmmmm.

The trick I found for keeping my sunflower seeds and almonds dry, is to wash out a small Gatorade bottle and dry it good.  Then stuff it with whichever.

I can unscrew the cap and pour a few in my mouth, and then screw the cap back on.  The bottle floats if knocked overboard, and keeps everything dry.   No worries about torn and leaky bags.  Oh and the bottle fits in the cup holder.

Usually water and chewing tobacco.  If its going to be a really long day I'll bring beef jerky or a luna/cliff bar.  I try and avoid eating while on the yak because I get sick from crap on my hands (fish slime, scent, lead, etc...).  I also try and avoid anything that could potentially make me have to go to the bathroom since the waders and drytop combo is nightmare to get off quickly when the  :o moment hits.

Water and Powerbars are always on my yak.  I keep extra powerbars in my dry bag and in my gear bag in case I forget.  It's like keeping a 5 gal can of fuel on your powerboat just in case.

If it's gonna be a long day, I'll pack a regular brown bag lunch.  If I plan an extended lunch period, I'll bring the micro stove with some ramen and coffee.

Most of the above.  And maybe a celebratory flask falls into the yak somehow.  Never, ever bring bananas.  Had to throw a pack of tropical lifesavers overboard near Hole in the Wall, Abaco once because there were some banana flavored lifesavers inside.

A buddy suffered a sunburn because I threw his Banana Boat sunscreen over the rail.

What's the story behind the banana hate?
