Marine area 7 pink & coonstripe shrimp

Is it worth going for pink and coonstripe shrimp in marine area 7? I'll be there 6/2-6, wondering if it's worth buying gear.

I noticed tons of people going for spot prawns in May, but that's closed June 1. Never seen that before, tons of effort.

I did it a few years ago from a boat.  And have not done it since.  Even from a boat, the effort required vs. the reward just isn't worth it.  Especially when you see the signs on your way home that say "100 shrimp for $5".  The only way I see it being worthwhile is to invest in good hauling equipment and use it often enough for a good ROI.  It's just too much work for a casual thing.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. Spot prawns were going off though, that would have been worth it.

I just keep thinking of drunken noodles with prawns at camp.
