Not quite an RV, not a tent on the ground.  Looks like it can be towed with a small car too.
Slick!

That's pretty sweet. A guy brought one by the shop a few months ago like that but the top of the camper popped off and doubled as a small motor boat. It was a remake of the FG version made in the 60's. I thought that was pretty nifty. He towed it with an old VW bug.

And if you get the motivation, you could put together a kitchen off the rear.  Setup anyway ya like.

This one just screams to have Craig's boats mounted on it.

This might just be the Texan in me, but it seems like the diamond plate/metal body/small space would be about 9000 degrees in the summer time. I remember how hot my car got in the summer.

I think you'd have to build it yourself!

Bingo!

The diamond plate also adds to the cost significantly.  I was pricing diamond plate the other day for my kayak/utility trailer, and for a brand new sheet of 1/8"x4'x8' it was going to be $280.  I did go ahead and get a piece 1/16" x 57" X 18" for my tailgate and it came to $30.  I still have the sides and front to skin.   :o

I was going to build one a few years ago but then had a kid, and another one, and another one.  I may still do so for myself for hunting and fishing.  Here is a site with some plans. http://www.angib.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/teardrop/tear00.htm  and here: http://www.mikenchell.com/

Maybe when I retire. :-\
