I got out on Munsel Lake this morning at 9:30 and was surprised to find that I was the only one at the lake. It was a beautiful morning and the trout were biting. I caught 4, trolling a nightcrawler, in the first hour, and then trolled a spinner until noon, without any success. Then it started to rain! Trout for dinner tonight.

I filleted the trout boneless, a little salt and pepper, and coated in McCormicks fish fry. Fried in canola, they were as good as it gets! Much better flavor than the ones I caught a couple of weeks ago. Also some pretty good action on the ultralight!

This guy was watching while I reeled them in.
