Thought I'd spawn a planning thread so we could start collecting info like...

Who plans to stay where.....
Who is bringing what.....
Where we plan to have the weigh in (length in).....
Who is manning the weigh in (length in) table.....
Potluck details....

I'm staying in my house... ;)

Gonna smoke up some meat for some nibblers like beef jerky.

Length in will be at the picnic area at the launch

Either Ralph or I will be manning the length in table from 10:00 am-3:30PM, or until everyone is off the water, whichever comes first. Don't forget that pictures with a CLEAR length measurement will be accepted. Don't forget to save some for the fish fry.

If you show up after 10 AM, There will be waivers at the length in table for late comers, Don't forget, as with the ORC, a waiver will need to be signed by every participant before you launch. No waiver, No prizes.

How about potluck at 7 PM, ceremony at 8? I guess we should have a fish fry? INSAYN, can you bring your implement?.
See ya on the water..

9 of us wife and kids.
We are staying at bullards beach but trying to get into sunset bay on a cancellation.
We are going to bring some kind of frog eye salad thing for the potluck.  I'll donate fish if I am lucky enough to catch any this time around.
Wife said she wouldn't mine manning the fish length in if needed.

bastendorff beach campground is open, but i don't know if the chance of getting a spot is any better there.

If you do come in from Bullards make sure you come over seven devils road into Charleston, it's way faster.

Glad your coming.

Forgot that my parents were coming down as well.  They have a spot at Sunset too.  Dad said he'd love to help man the length table.

So, Roy if you and Ralph want to go out and fish with us all day, you can get my wife, parents and DTS's wife all up to speed on legistics and let them run the length station, as they will be on land all day anyways.   I'll have my digital camera down there,  so those at the table can take pics of every fish that is measured on the measuring device. I have one of those folding Rapala measuring devices that goes out to just shy of 60" if you want to use that.

I'll supply the fryer and LP again if someone supplies the 2 gallons of peanut oil and two boxes of Pride of the West.

Anyone who wants to help with the length in table is welcome to. I most likely will be letting a couple guys use my yak that are coming with no yaks, so i wont be getting to fish much i have a feeling. I'll get out for a little while at least. It's ok, i'll get plenty of fishing friday and sunday.

Bring your measure, hopefully we will need something longer then a hawg trough...
See ya on the water..

My girlfriend and I'll will be camping at sunset bay campground Thursday night through Monday (I'm hoping to get on the water 3-4 days).  Campsite c-14 or 16.  I'm bringing my camp barbecue with a large griddle. Will have a 12X12 quick shade in camp if needed.  My girlfriend said she could help at the weigh in station.

We're are only a couple days away from this event.  Can we get some more info from those on the FOR SURE list?

We have LP fryer covered (minus oil and Pride of the West). Anyone?
There is some donated fish (I assume more folks will toss some filets in as well).
A small handful of Potluck items.

Lets get this puppy filled out so we know how many folks we are feed'n, and who we can count on to bring some of the random supplies/items.   8)

Tell ya what.  I'll supply the 2 gallons of Peanut oil and 2-3 boxes of Pride of the West along with my LP and fryer (and I'll fry the fish).   That will be my "food" contribution to the potluck.  Everyone cool with that?

Now, lets see some salads, deserts, rustic breads, craft beers, soft drinks....etc show up on the list.

I kinda figured bringing the fryer, the LP and frying the fish was more then contribution enough but if you want to do that i'm cool with it.. I'll  prep the fish for cooking.

Don't forget, a bunch of people on the list are not on NWKA so have no idea of the potluck planning thread.. I'll call them tomorrow and see if there hanging for the potluck and awards ceremony
