I ran across this vid cam on Amazon. looks pretty cool, cheap and has a viewfinder. Anybody ever use one of these?

Guess i'll be the first to try it. I ordered a purple, it was cheaper for some reason, 129 bucks. I'll try and do a product reveiw after i try it out.

Hope the 16 gb SDHC card that i ordered shows up on time for the tourny...

I really want a Pentax optio W90 or a Canon D10 but i just can't bring myself to spend that much money on a camera...

I've not checked out many reviews on the camera, but from what I HAVE seen, it does seem like a good deal.  I definitely would give it a shot before putting the money down on the GoPro.  I like that its built waterproof, as opposed to having a waterproof case.  I like to talk to myself when I"m out fishing, and want to be able to catch that on video too - which you can't do with the GoPro

I think the W90 is killer also. B&H has them for 259, but I'm going to wait a while. My last two Olympus' went kaput, need to try something else. Looking forward to your report on the Kodak unit there CBY  ???

I  bought the optio w80 for 160 from amazon. There are very few differences between it and the w90. IT won't work with an infared remote however. If you want a sample of the photos it takes, i took the youtube stuff in the post on hobuck beach in the washington section completely with that camera and also my aoty fish. It has worked out well for me. doug

I got the Fujifilm XP10 at bimart. I killed my last camera fishing and needed a new one. I found this one and got it at Bi-Mart . I have used it for about 5 weeks now and I like it a lot. It does movies and pics. Here is a link for you. Good luck on what ever you get.
