I launched out on the Columbia at Steamboat Landings Dock on Thursday and paddled East to the first channel maker and made some drifts with a tube Jig in about 10-15 ft water for nadda then tried shallower in 10-8 ft found some rocky structures (surface boils) still no one home.
Fished the pilings around the dock and in front of the dock still no takers. Continued my drift and fishes near shore for a mile or so west of the dock still no bitters, called it a day after 5 hrs.
Did see a boater pull up to the dock and drop someone off carrying a salmon looked to be about 10 -15 lbs.

Fish the Camas Slough on Friday from 3:00 to 8:30 and caught 2 nice Small Mouths one measured out 15” “got me on the AOTY board” also missed several hook sets. These fish were all near the 14 bridge in 6-8ft of water temp about 69 degrees.

Fished the Slough on Friday and meet up with a friend we both pick up a smallie both were small about 10”
Lots of carp in the shallows must have spotted 30 plus weighting 10 – 15 lbs and bigger!! Anyone ever target carp?
