I'm thinking about heading for the green can on the Nisqually Delta around 1pm Saturday and fishing the tide swings.  The tides will favor us paddling there and back that day.

Anyone else interested in going?

I'm up for this. How's crabbing there? Can you please post or pm me directions?

Take Meridian off of Martin Way in Lacey between exits 111 and 114. Exit the round about to the right, and drive strait a few miles. At the 3 way stop (you won't have a stop sign, the other 3 do) you'll see little green public fishing signs. Follow those for about 1/2 - 1 mile and your there.

Crabbing in the delta can be good, but you will want 2-3 floats. There is a good bit of current between tides, the Nis, and McCallister creek. Seaweed will collect on your ropes, and with the current a single float won't get the job done.

I won't know for certain if I'm going until Saturday.  I'll post again when I know.

I may be hitting up Chambers this afternoon, but it will be late, and not for too long, and launching from sunnyside beach.  Netting opened on the 25th and I don't want to risk dealing with it.

The woman wants to go now, so I'll be launching from Chambers (Sunnyside Beach) some time tomorrow afternoon.

No sculpin shall be spared. If she's the freshwater sculpin magnet that you claim, then tomorrow will be the ultimate sculpin smack down for sure. Mayhaps she'll clear the way for our next outing  ;D

At least they'll be bigger than the freshwater sculpin!

Trolled for about an hour.  Nothing out there yet.

Caught a few undersized crabs and a 16" starfish in my crab trap.

I might make a run out there on Saturday with you. I might drop some pots while were out there, I've been craving some crab since the posting of the Dungee tourny. What time you heading out? I think the peak low is aroung 9am.

This was for last Saturday and I ended up at Chambers.  Ravdakot, 2FY, and I will probably give it a go some time this weekend.  We'll update between now and then.

I was there after 3pm on Sat. Trolled with everything I had but came up empty handed. Mooched a few times and ended up with a dogfish. I kept the dogfish for crab bait next time.

Nisqually Green Can or Chambers?

I used chicken livers last time, and the crabs ripped THROUGH the metal mesh bait can I had for them.
