I caught my first Lake Washington Cutt today.  I mooched the smallest herring I could find through bait balls i marked on the fish finder.  Hooked up on my first drop.  There was bait coming out of the water all around me.  I dropped down and "hit bottom" about 20 feet down in 80 feet of water.  I started cranking and before I could catch up a fat 18 cutt was jumping behind me.  Got him to the boat and released him.  Sorry no pics I was too worried about getting a bait back in the water.

Soon after my fishfinder died and it was hard to now if i was in the right depth or not.  Still managed four other hits but all i came up with were four ravaged herring.

I'm finding it hard to find reasons not to spent all my free time on my yak.  It really is a sickness.
