Anyone going? I will most likely be there at 5am. If I don't get a salmon, I will at least get some flounders.

I'm really torn myself. I was thinking Chamber's Creek, but the board @ Wholesale says Solo Point is the place to be in the south sound right now.

Solo Point is between Lhur Beach, and Chamber's Creek. It's actually Ft Lewis property just outside of Dupont. I want to be on the water around 5:15am. I'm not completely sold on Solo Point, but it's looking likely. It would be easy to mooch the flood tide down to the Green can, and then back to the launch on the ebb.

Now that you mention it, what is the report on the sprtco board? I wonder if they match, or get their info from the same source?

I was at solo pt this past Saturday dropping crab pots and jigging for salmon. We even made it out to the green can. No luck on the salmon, lots of PBs i did see one caught. I picked up 6 dungees and 4 red rocks, released 3 soft dungees.

Thanks for the update. I was talking to a guy pulling his PB out at Solo Point Sat afternoon, and he said 3 were caught over at Chamber's that morn. We were hoping you had been one of the lucky few. I'll be there mid morn Fri if the weather is as nice as it's supposed to be so my daughter can jig for flounder. I'll post on how it looks.

I'll be hitting the Chamber's Creek launch around 9ish with the kid. There's no 05 for my 7 year old either. I'm gonna cast a Buzz bomb while she jigs up a few flatfish and my crab pots get a soak. 2ndflooryak, Lee, and I are headed to Solo Point tomorrow from 4pm for 2fy and I, and 5ish for Lee until dark. Gonna troll up and down from the launch to the Nis delta.

No love at Solo Point tonight. Got a few dogfish, and rock crab. Decided this would be a better launch for my kid in the morn, so I left my crab gear to soak overnight. The fish checker was there, but no good reports anywhere in the south sound right now. SP is still doing better than most. A PB pulled in after dark with a 20# and 17# they caught south of the Nis somewhere. Those 2 and 4 at Point Defiance were the only fish checked today. The 4 at PD were out of something like 60 boats.

Really sucks getting on the salt for 2-3 hours with nothing to show for it except a bunch of cleaning up afterwards.

Should have taken the kid to CC for her flatfish. She had an amazing day of catching rockfish and sculpin @ SP today, but no flatfish. Oh well. She had an amazing time, and caught quite a few fish. Took a limit of rock crab after an overnight soak. And my neighbor caught an octopus.
