when you can do no wrong. I tried to talk myself out of launching the whole 20 minute drive to the the launch..I'm tired, been fishing alot...need to do some house work....It's getting kinda windy.. All the usuals, but i still pulled my Yak out of the truck and launched at 4:20 to ride the income for an hour and back an hour.

I brought some Sardines i got fresh and froze, without brining. Big mistake, they were soft, i got one to stay on and spin reasonably and figured i would drop it down and troll any way while i got a  Brads ready to go(love the hobie). A guy trolled by the opposite direction in a small boat and he said "you might just get one down there a bit, i saw some surfacing". I said cool, but inside i was thinking, "ok, sure buddy, whatever".

Sure enough, about ten minutes later, The pig slam my line and just kept going, stripping line furiously! Then it turned and came straight back, i couldn't reel fast enough to even think about keeping up! Then it screamed off in another direction.Did this a few times, made numerous runs... 25 minutes later, my arm was a noodle, i could hardly lift the tip of my pole to coax the head of the champion in the net....

I slammed the water with my fist and let out a yell that i'm sure half the Mill Casino campground could hear!! Not a boat in sight, not sure if that guy in the boast that went by saw or not.

38.5 inches and 29 1/2 pounds. By far the biggest Salmon i have ever caught on a yak!! One of the quickest time to hook-up too.It was just magical, most epic fishing experience i have ever had. I love this shit!! ;D

Launched at 4:20
Dropped bait at 4:25
Hooked up at 4:40
Landed at 5:05
Boat loaded in truck at 5:45

See ya on the water..
Roy

It must have been those lucky shorts!

I might need to get a pair of those to boost my own salmon mojo.  Very nice fish Roy!

Nice write-up, but totally unnecessary....
