Heading to Tacoma tomorrow - should I bring yak?

Going to roll north to help a buddy w/ his deck this weekend.  Should I bring the yak or just shore fish the puke?  I think crabbing is closed now, and there's some salmon starting to show, wondering if there's much worth bringing the yak or should I just wade and drift w/ my buddy?  Anyone have a convincing argument? 

I would always bring the kayak...

Crabbing is still open in MA 13. Coho are making there way south. Saw a bunch on the FF last weekend, but no takers.
