I'm currently looking for a jiggin rod that is under $100 that has a short butt section and I ran into this on ebay.
Anyone heard of these? Any input would be helpful?

For Salmon or rockfish? Might be ok for salmon jigging but a little short and light. Something in the 8'+ size and that could handle up to 5 oz. would be better. 8'6" 12-25# line rating and 1-5 oz rating is the perfect salmon jigging rod IMO. Check the Berkley IM8 A92-8-6XH or A92-7-9HB. They're pretty easy to find for under $99.

For rockfish that Abu rod is definitely too light for my taste.

Yeh Dino, i've heard of them.. hugely over rated bass stick.. you can find that line at Sportco in Fife and also it's sister up in Seattle. I honestly don't think they sell many of them.

actually, now that i think on it some more, Dick's in Puyallup had a few last time i was there too.

just remember these rods are designed for optimum performance with the Revo and Soron reels also made by Abu.

I think Zee has a better solution for you.

I've got an 8' 6" Intrepid 10-30# for salmon jigging. Looking for a rod to jig for bottom fishing. I probably wont be doing any ocean jigging though..still fishing from a sink. The Berkeley looks good though but not sure if it's overkill for bottom fishing in the south sound. I do want to try jigging maybe Deception Pass too if the weather permits. Anyway I'm only jigging up to 3oz which is rarely. I really haven't found a need to jig anything bigger.
