Hi,

I headed out of Shilshole mid day on Thursday and trolled for Silvers.  The wind was out of the North at 10-15 knts. Banged around Medow Point for about 4 hours. No fish or bait jumping or on the finder.  A couple of other boats where out.  A couple of guys passed me and said they got a couple of nice fish North (Poin no Point?). Headed out Friday morning with wind at 5-10 knts from the South.  Started fishing off of Medow Point.  Quit a number of motor boaters were out fishing likely due to the reopening of hatchery King Salmon retention.  Worked my way against rising winds to West Point.  Got beat up a bit amongst the messy waves off of West Point .  I got hit by rogue wave from behind an nearly got to test my drysuit out in Puget Sound.  Trolled back to Shilshole and saw a few jumpers but no fish or bites for me :-\

The boat in the last picture is some sort of weird trimeran.  It had a small outboard but when it came by me all I heard was a "swishhh" sound and no motor sound.  It was running down wind so perhaps hull acts like a sail?  Perhaps a Hobie pedal type drive?  I will post in on a couple of boat building sites and see if anyone know anythin about this boat.

Tomas,

I've been out in the same area and the only thing I have scared up is a seal. Ran right over the top of him/her as it was sunbathing on the surface :o
I tried the North end of Golden Gardens out to Carkeek Park and even the secret beach when the inner bay is open. Nada ???
I try and avoid that shallow patch around Meadow point as the waves are unpredictable. Either cut to the shore or go around the buoy but then you're in heavy traffic.

BTW - those jumpers you talk about are the kite boarders!!! I hear they don't bite often but can give one heck of a good fight once hooked >:D
Those that plan the battle rarely battle the plan, unless it involves fishing!
