Anyone have one of these?  Have you tried to take it apart?  For some reason, I can't seem to get the spool out after the side plate has been removed.  I started to force it out, and now it won't go back in all the way.  I'm about ready to take it over to Ollie Damon's to have them take a look at it, but figured I throw the question out here.  Is there something I'm overlooking here?

Take it out to Fisherman's and ask some questions first. That dude at O.D. looks at it or touches it, he's going to charge you a bench hour.

Check Alan Tani's website. He has great pictorials on reel disassembly and repair.

Thanks for the links WR.  Yep, checked out Alan Tani's forum already.  That's pretty much my first stop for any reel questions.  Yeah, I guess I just can't help it.  I always love to take things apart, learn how they work and put them back together again.  It's so much cheaper to be able to service your own reels too.  Although it usually isn't cheaper when you end up breaking things and have to buy replacement parts.  ::)

Thanks for the help but nothing seemed to answer my question.  At this point I've spent way more time than I'm comfortable with searching around the intwebs for anything about Revo S breakdown and cleaning.  Alan Tani's site was the closest thing I could find to answering my question but I still can't figure it out.  He does work on a Revo Inshore which is close enough to the Revo S.  I think it's just a faulty part in the reel or something.  I just wish I would've gone with the Shimano Curado instead.  ::)

Have you tried looking at the exploded schematics for the reel? If you don't have the ones that came with the reel anymore you can download the schematic for free from mikesreelrepair.com
