I got out on Lake Washington earlier this week before the rain started and picked up a few early Christmas presents.  I went out after perch but the few schools I found were reluctant to bite and I only managed a few in a couple hours so I decided to try something different.  Tried to locate some bass and had pretty good success.  Hooked four and landed three on a drop shot in 50 feet of water.  The three landed went 17, 17 1/2, and 18 1/2 inches its hard to tell weights but they were all chunky.  Bass in December! Love being back in the PNW.

Merry Christmas

I looked up the pro angler kayak and its a pretty sharp looking boat. How do you like the seat? Pretty pricy but I love the storage space. Thanks for the report. I read about big jumbo perch being caught on that lake on washingtonlakes.com

The seat is fine, although I have nothing to compare it to, since this is my first kayak (if you can call it that).  I have put in 6 or 7 miles in an afternoon of fishing and didn't have a problem with the seat and I am a big guy.  The only problem I have had so far is a pin comes out of the rudder and causes the rudder to fall out of the housing.  I put a little bend in the pin so it fits more snug and ha vent had a problem since.

I caught had caught a lot of perch up until about a month ago but since then the schools have been hard to find and the ones that are there haven't wanted to bite.  But I haven't explored too much of the lake either.  Been pretty restricted to the north end.

Awesome job and report.  I had no idea it was even worth chasing SMB or perch this time of year.  Thanks for letting us know this is stil viable in December!

The perch are hard to find and then getting them to bite is a challenge but they are there! Nice work.
