I'm running a couple of guided multi-day kayak fishing trips in the San Juans again this year. Kayak fishing for sea kayaks is scheduled May 26-29, and fishing for SOT's is set for June 2-5. We'll be targetting lingcod, greenling, & cabezon. - bottom fishing/jigging.

The sea kayak trip involves tent camping at Jones Isl, and covering more miles in less protected areas than the SOT trip, and will be geared towards those wanting to fish from a sea kayak.

The SOT trip will base camp at West Beach Resort on Orcas Isl. and will leave us access to vehicles to transport our yaks to protected areas should conditions be less than favorable. At West Beach there are hot showers, flush toilets, and cabins, wall tents, and regular tent camping are available.

The price of both trips is $650/person and includes food/meals, tent camp & use fees, kayaks & paddling gear (dry/wet suit, paddles, booties, etc.) if needed, tackle, and your guides. Camping gear, fishing license, and rods & reels are not provided. Wall tents & cabins are available for an additional fee @ West Beach.

The main pursuit of both of these trips is kayak fishing, but as with everything I do there is opportunity to learn & practice navigation & seamanship, kayak specific safety/rescue/re-entry techniques, and what ever else you've been wanting to try. My goal for you is to #1 have fun & catch fish. #2 be able to do a multi-day kayak fishing trip on saltwater of your own, competently & safely.

If you're interested, shoot me a PM or call me at the shop: Jason @503-285-0464

Nice!

I always look at the pile on the beach when launching and think no friggin way. Yet every time everything fits! Kind of like tetris.

The orca pics were right out in front of our "human powered craft only" camp site on Jones. Both the orca and the camp site shots are from the May 2010 trip which was a scouting trip with me, the GF and another buddy. The rest are from the 2010 SJ fishing trip I ran in June 2010.
