Hello all

I was wondering what your thoughts on your setup's to catch springer's.
Your help when we had the salmon tourney last year was like gold to me and very helpful to many!
Although we didn't get anything, what's up with that... and spot how's that kayak you won?

Thanks Guys  ;D

SD, long time no see!   Spot has that article on the front page called "springers for dummies"  Lots of good info in there.

Yep I've been down with a back issue for two months, feeling better and starting to get the "Kayak Fishing Itch"
True Spot has a great article, but it's always fun to see what the others are using.
It's good to hear from you too Lee!

Hey Chuck,

Glad to see you back!

Last year I fished probably 4 or 5 times before getting a springer.  The magic tickets were red and white spinners with brass backs.  (Think Toman and Guide Tech) I didn't get a single springer on herring last year.  1st day I put on a baby thumper Wham!  two fish.  Next time out Wham!  two fish.
Everything I've read and learned said it was too early and too cold for spinners......

This year, I want to try out prawn spinners.

Pelagic is the Springer Master.  Hopefully he'll chime in here!

The boat itself is actually dangerous?!  This sounds like a good story.  Lets hear it!
