Panko Breaded Rockfish, homemade slaw with Bull Kelp pickles on a Dave's killer bun with Onion Rings. Granted its last falls frozen fish but it was darn tasty.

Harvested live Bull Kelp offshore with the yak,  Washed it up, sliced it into rings using a mandolin, and pickled it using a "bread and butter" style pickle.  Only thing I would change is add a bit more Alum to help them crisp up a bit.  They are actually really good and not a ton different then regular pickles except they have a hole in the center where the seeds would regularly be.

This is the one I used but I think any traditional pickle recipe would work.  Next batch I will add some Alum as these could do to be a little crisper. They are plenty firm but lack that pickle "snap", Alum should fix that.
