Gonna be on Whidbey Island for 8 days from March 9th-17th. Would like to get out and fish at least one day, or two somewhere. Anyone close?

Can't fish the 10th or the 12th. Ideas?

I could possibly meet you at Deception pass.  It's a nice place to fish, and scenic.  No retention of anything but greenlings, but we could bounce jigs around and C&R lings and cabs.

That sounds cool. I would be up for that. Even though it's C&R would still get KW points and i have always wanted to try that area anyway.Figure out a day and time thats good for you and i'll be there. Do you still have the same cell number as last year?

How about Sunday the 13th? I would in for a trip to TTM's neck of the woods. The word is he has caught a couple greenling up that way. Do you think we can live bait a greenling and still say you are fishing for greenling?

I could do Sunday if it's not too early. The 12th is my brothers memorial and we will probably be getting back to the island pretty late.

Sorry - I just saw this!  We discovered that the Ling opening in area 3 is Mar 12.  So I am going to keep an eye on the weather and head out there on the 11th if it looks like it will be decent.  But let's face it - the the likelihood is slim that the weather will be amenable, so I am probably down with a Mar 13 deception pass meet up.  Will know more next week.
