Well decided to take more of a plunge into modifying the yak for fishing.  I've been fishing with just a rod holder, and I was really getting tired of the drag of the transducer I stuck to the outside with a suction cup (portable FF). So, it goes against every bone in my body to cut holes into a boat but after reading up on this site and others I took the plunge.  I figure nothing a few pool noodles (or Jane Fonda foam rolls) can't take care of if I punched a hole the wrong way...I hope.

Not clean and certainly not perfect but I think its going to work.

Added a 12 volt marine grade receptacle and ran the cables through a waterproof plug

Installed a RAM mount for the FF and another scotty rod holder.  Doubles to hold my camera.

Transducer install with the Jane Fonda Workout Foam Roll.  Good thing I outlined where I wanted it...lol.  Wasn't even close.  But it holds water.

Still need to figure the battery out but for the mean time its just going to ride in the hatch wedged in by gear.  I can't wait to test it out!

Hey kardinal,

The photos didn't come through.  I think you can only see them if you are registered and logged in at that other site.
