I just had an idea, maybe should think it out a little more before posting but i feel pretty good about it so here goes. Actually two parts:

(1) Does anyone know a photographer and or someone with a powerboat that could zip around and take pictures during the contest? I know we all do it ourselves and some of the photos are really good but if your focused on the fishing you don't always get the subtle shots. I wouldn't even be adverse to buying some of the photos if there good. They do this at Mountain Bike Races and get some really great shots. I wouldn't mind contacting a few photographers if I could tell them they had a boat to get around in.

(2) If someone had a projector and screen we could download those photos as well as our own and show during the dinner and award ceremony.

Neat idea... What you need is someone on a jet ski with a camera.

Hey that photgrapher idea is pretty good. i know we have to have some really good people among the membership who can fulfill this.

Newbies, here's a great way to meet the rest of the membership and have a fantastic weekend, too.

Me? i;ll still be gathering dust out here at that time in the west texas desert.

I can't remember, but was there a grassy area past the fillet station next to the river?

Yes there was.  In fact, I think there's a park behind the cleaning station.

Fish Sniffer, do you know?

Oh man this sounds like a blast! Count me in.  I'll bring my camera and try and take some pictures on the water but I'm not sure I can do it without throwing up. It's not a full on SLR (Sony H7) but it takes pretty nice photos.

Just add a new rule and make everyone responsible for five on the water photos or their fish don't count.

Or.. make it a side contest for best photo.

How do we sign up for the tournament?

Hey Islandson,

We're working on getting firm commitments from sponsors.  Once we do that, we'll know how much we need to charge this year.  At that point the paypal link will be posted on the main page.

So, at this point, who plans on attending?
