We've only been able to cross the bar a handful of times so far this year and we're still in Winter mode here in Newport/Depoe Bay so the bar may not be open on some of the days I've listed.

The following weekends are the days I'm able to host Pre-Fish event(s) for those who want to get familiarized with Depoe Bay.

Apr 30/May 1,
May 7/8 (mothers day),
May 28/29,
June 4/5

I'm also available many weekdays and I'm always happy to do it more than once.  The best thing to do is keep an eye on both the weather and the USCG cam at http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/pqr/marine/bars_mover.php just prior to the date.

As of right now, the picture from that camera looks terrifying!

I saw that Depoe Bay cam shot this morning, it's breaking from N. Reef to Flat Rock.

Hey Fishsniffer,  that's really nice of you to post those Depoe Bay dates.  I would really like to fish there, and will try and make one of those trips.  I will PM as soon as I can make one of those dates that look good.
Thanks again,
-Scott

That's a generous offer you've laid out there Sniffer!

Anybody not familiar with Depoe would be wise to take Greg up on this.  He knows the bottom contours intimately.....  >:D

To echo the others, Thanks for the potential to pre-fish an area I have never tried before.  I hope it's good on that last weekend in April.  I should be free then.

I see we have a bunch of funny guys here!!!  Sorry, no repeats of last years reenactment of how not to read the water and become fodder for the Perfect Storm Wave.

I am going to need a little help though so anyone else comfortable with DB can help.  As of Wednesday most of my free time is being taken up heading up fundraising efforts for the Eden Bailey Fund.  You may have heard about the 2 y/o and mother who were mauled on Monday at Otter Rock.  So I could use a little help on the pre-fish events.

This Saturday morning is looking good for a Pre-fish.  Post a message here  if you plan to show.  Lets think about 8:00 am but if you're already familiar with the area... we'll see you out there.

I am interesting in going Prefishing on Friday 6/17, scouting out the area seems like a smart idea before the ORC
