Noahk and I decided to hit the Willy yesterday at around 5:30pm for a quick evening session of Springer fishing. After we connected near GR park we stopped off on a nearby shelf to make a couple quick passes using prawn spinners. I cant remember if it was the first or second pass, but it didn't take too long to find this chunky 38" female Springer. Again, once she was hooked it seems like they're quick to make a run straight for the docks. She did try, but I was lucky to have a nice position on my Outback facing out, so just slowly pulled her out towards the middle with slow pedal power. Its so nice to able to focus on playing the fish. Once I had her out in the channel, she made a couple jumps out of the water, followed by line screaming runs left, then right, then left and so on. Both of us tired out eventually and got her into the net. Thanks for your help Noahk. It was nice meeting up with you. I look forward to checking out your video.
I can't freakin wait to get back!
Cheers!

Great fish Jammer! Many  thanks also for showing me the ropes of the area. I think helping newbies = good fish karma.

And it was was your first pass. I was trolling 50 feet ahead of Jammer and not more than a minute or two into the troll I hear "fish on". Jammer made it look all to easy!

Didn't you read in the contract that if you spell pedal "peddle" you're off the team? Nice fish Mike. ;)

That's funny Zee. I realized about an hour ago and tried to switch it before anyone noticed. Caught red handed peddling mirage drives. OFF!!!

Nice fish man! That thing is huge!

Yesterday must have been the day.  Today was sslllooooooooooooowwwww!!!!!  There must have been around a hundred boats between the Hawthorne bridge and Willamette Park.  I only saw ONE fish netted and that was right as I was heading in.
