I picked up an NRS breathable drytop, brand new, for $175 off craig's list. I don't have any experience with these. Do you have to stretch out the neck a bit by leaving it around a pot or something? I honestly feel like I could pass out after wearing it for a few minutes, the neck is so tight.

It is an XL, so should be plenty big. Just curious how long it takes to get comfortable...

I have the same problem but I picked up a couple of these at Next Adventure a couple years ago http://www.mountaintek.com/cgi/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=OS-DNR I don't know if anyone local sells them anymore or not.  I put it on towards the top of the neck gasket so that the gasket in making contact with my neck, but not to tightly.  It works great.

The OS Systems neck ring also helps you when you want to vent heat.  However, I think I may replace the latex gasket on my dry suit with a neoprene gasket when the latex gasket wears out.  I have not yet made up my mind on that.

Stretch the neck out with a bowl works good. You can also use a plastic folgers can.  I find if I get the bowl in there at least 24 hours before use, I can last most of the day without to much neck pressure. I was also thinking about using something like that ring. I believe I heard there is some other device like the ring that could easily be removed if you get yourself in trouble.
PROGRESS IS JUST BEING THERE!
