For those of you who couldn't attend the ORC for various reasons, my condolences. Maybe next year if the cards are right and the moon & the stars align for me. To those who were able to attend, I hope you had a blast, the fishing was good, the fish Taco Potluck was a success & the beer flowed freely. Not to mention everyone returns home safely to their respective abodes.
Feeling down and out, we had our own competion on a little local lake on Friday. I want to thank the masses who turned out for this fun outing and Bucketmouths was our quarry. As the participants lined up on the shoreline for the starting horn, the anticipation was palpable. There we were, Tenhunter and myself, armed to the teeth with crankbaits,
plastics, topwater lures, spinnerbaits, etc. We shoved off in our Hobies in great weather and almost immediately knew the competion was going to be fierce. To cut to the chase, Tenhunter won the battle logging in a total of 8 oz of Bass. I came away in second with a skunk and a sunburn. Prizes were awarded back at my house with a couple of cold ones  :spittake: and Tenhunter returned to his family for the Father's Day Weekend. I proceeded to further induldge in my suds and woke up to a beautiful day of our Spring/Summer weather: RAIN :'(. I hope to hook up with a few of you who are up for the challenge of various local salmon fishing as the season progresses. Will be waiting for reports and pics from Depoe Bay. and the winner is............ ???

I'll likely be off the water until the local salmon/crab season starts 01 July.  There are a few house projects to complete and some other endeavors that need attention.  At least it will give the inside of the yak time to dry out.
