Drug the yaks down to Cape Lookout state park, for a 4 day Father's Day reunion, daughter and wife brought their Revos, I the Adventure,  Finally got away from the crowd Sunday PM, and fished the high slack at Memaloose.  Had a take on my spinner, the nookie jumped twice right next to the boat, and spit the spinner right back---the only action I had.  Nice to see the fish, tho, it was about 8-12 lbs, and not really nickel bright.  But still, it was my first Tillamook salmon. Locals in little PBs said that it was pretty much the end of springer action, more to come in Sept/October.  I'll be there, unless Willapa is hot in late August.
Never underestimate the ability of our policymakers to fail to devise and implement intelligent policy
