I'm going to be at Cascade Lake 07/16-20 camping on the NW part of the lake. I will be taking the yak with me so I plan on hitting the water. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for fishing there this time of year as far as whats biting on what and where to go. I just plan on bringing everything but if I could narrow it down and simplify that would be great. If your going to be in that area, send me a pm and we can hook up.
Thanks.

The bass and perch are biting, but the fishing is slower than it has been the last couple years.  For bass I do well on topwaters in morning and evening, senkos or flukes during the day and crankbaits or rattle baits when the wind is blowing.  Fish shallow rocks in the mornings/evenings and deeper rocks or stumps during the day.

When the big perch are biting well you can catch them on crankbaits; best all-round perch lure is a 3" grub swam slowly over or around flats.

Watch for thunderstorms; Cascade can get very nasty in big winds.

There are some big trout in the lake; I don't fish for them a lot, but I have caught them on Rapalas and spinners.
